The Richardson Prince Residence in Point Grey Vancouver was completed in early 2008. The project started with the requirement to retain, tranform and add to an existing house that had already been gutted. The addition makes a strategically, almost surgically position itself by opening up and bringing light into the dark core of the old. The addition itself is perched like a treehouse into the trees. It has been designed to allow the owners easy tranformation from bedrooms to future workstudios while the growing children cycle through the various spatial arrangements.
