Position: New Graduate/Intern Architect

As a New Graduate/Intern Architect, you will join our team to coordinate and manage highly innovative mixed use urban housing projects and related systems technology.

You will be required to demonstrate outstanding ability and expertise in:

  • working directly with LWPAC principals, and cooperating with a team of creative individuals, engineers and client project managers,
  • working individually or as part of a group for projects from initiation to completion,
  • embracing creativity and innovation across all areas of integrated design,
  • wanting to learn a deep understanding of building systems and technology,
  • a strong interest in integrated Sustainability and Environmental Design (Passive House, LEED for Housing),
  • and preferably demonstrated experience in material science and advanced timber technology.

A professional university Bachelor/Master’s degree with a minimum of 0-3 years of work experience since graduation is required.

 

Position: Intermediate Architect

As an Intermediate Project Architect, you will join our team to coordinate and manage highly innovative mixed use urban housing projects and related systems technology.

You will be required to demonstrate outstanding ability and expertise in:

  • working directly with LWPAC principals, and leading a team of creative individuals, engineers and client project managers,
  • managing projects successfully from initiation to completion,
  • embracing creativity and innovation across all areas of integrated design,
  • deep understanding of building systems and technology,
  • integrate Sustainability and Environmental Design (Passive House, LEED for Housing),
  • and preferably a demonstrated interest or expertise in material science and advanced timber technology.

A professional university Bachelor/Master’s degree with a minimum of 3-7 years of work experience since graduation is required. Professional licensure in BC or transferable to BC is preferred.

 

Position: Senior Architect

As a Senior Project Architect, you will join our team to coordinate and manage highly innovative mixed use urban housing projects and related systems technology.

You will be required to demonstrate outstanding ability and expertise in:

  • working directly with LWPAC principals, and leading a team of creative individuals, engineers and client project managers,
  • managing projects successfully from initiation to completion,
  • embracing creativity and innovation across all areas of integrated design,
  • deep understanding of building systems and technology,
  • integrated Sustainability and Environmental Design (Passive House, LEED for Housing),
  • and preferably a demonstrated interest or expertise in material science and advanced timber technology.

A professional university Bachelor/Master’s degree with a minimum of 7 years of work experience since graduation is required. Professional licensure in BC or transferable to BC is preferred.

 

Position: Architectural Systems Designer

As an Architectural Systems Designer a qualified mandate will join the LWPAC + IC’s in-house R&D housing technology team, bringing advanced design systems solutions to the market.

You will require an ability / expertise:

  • to work in the area of Building Systems and Facade Systems innovation and design,
  • have reasonable fluency and a strong interest in integrated Sustainability and Environmental Design (Passive House, LEED),
  • and demonstrated interest/expertise in Material Science, composite structures, and timber technology.

You will bridge the current divide between architecture and industrial design as well as sustainable design and affordability. Ideally you are a quick learner or have expertise with digital design, environmental analysis software, BIM and 4D design.

The candidate should be energetic, a great team player, self organized with exceptional communication skills and has the ability to rigorously explore and problem solve within an environment defined by innovation, technology disruption and the demands of dynamic growth. Our preference is a passionate professional who is a quick learner of digital design with a belief this to be the path of the future. Familiarity with BIM is required, while parametric design software and 5D digital design experience are definitely a plus.  We are an equal opportunity employer.
